TIE Plan Reflection
The students really liked this activity. They were able to be creative about thier own stories and then play with their friends story as well. They really got a kick out of watching what other people were changing in their stories from where they were sitting and on their own screen. They thought that was really cool. A few of them began messing with other students once they figured out how it worked. One student would finish typing a sentence and another would delete it. I was impressed that they just laughed about it. The lesson ended up taking three days of 45 minutes of instruction. I was suprised at how slow most of them typed. Many of them did not know where the punctuation keys were or how many spaces go between words. Overall, I am pleased with their presentation and even more pleased that they keep asking if they can do another one soon. I recommend this program for classroom use because the kids really enjoyed it. I think it could be really useful in things like reading responses or editing lessons.
Tie Lesson Plan and Link to Google Pres
I completed my lesson plan and tweeked it a little from what I had originally planned on doing to better fit my students. You can view this lesson plan at Technology Lesson Plan. Also, the completed lesson can be viewed at Our Underwater Tale. The students had a great time playing with Google Pres!

TIE Plan Prep
My CT wants to work with the students on their creative writing. So, I decided to do a lesson on Google Docs Pres. I am going to upload a picture on to a slide, followed by a directions slide. Each student will have a slide with his/her name on it and work on that particular slide. They are to come up with their own creative story about the given picture prompt. Once completed, the students will go to the slide right before thiers and pick one sentence to change. The catch is, it still has to fit the story. Once it is changed, they have to highlight the changed sentence and change the color of font. I am planning on doing this lesson with the students April 12.

Voice Threads
Voice threads caught my eye almost instantly. I think this is something the kids would love to do and have fun with. I think it could be very useful in the classroom as well. Let the kids have fun with learning...!
Google Docs
Google Docs looks like a great program to use in the classroom. I dont know much about it, so i need to go back and play around with it a little. I just dont see how useful it will be for the younger grade levels....

HOTS integrated in classroom setting
HOTS can be very useful in classrooms these days. With the world turning to technology as a way of life, it seems only right that we teach and use it in classrooms as well. The school systems need to keep up with the rest of the world. Blogs can work particularly well for teachers posting news for parents, homework, and upcoming projects. For students, it can be great for them to ask for help from others or to check their upcoming assignments.
